Our History

Jimmy Soderlund has always regarded himself as a survivor. Before getting into the roofing business, he owned a framing company.


When the housing market collapsed in 2008, he saw that as an opportunity for a fresh start instead of an end. He had an idea for a business that was needed all year round. That's how Quality Discount Roofing & Construction got its start in 2010.


Quality Discount Roofing & Construction started with only one crew and one employee working in the office. However, with the massive demand for expansion, the company felt the need to hire more employees.


With the increasing demand for roofing construction services, Jimmy decided to fill the vacuum in the market, taking the company into an exciting field where it will face new challenges. With his Director of Sales—Stephen Knuth, and their talent, knowledge, and experience, Jimmy is confident they can reach new milestones.


The newly equipped team began transitioning the roofing business to the digital realm. As the company strives for growth and improvement, Quality Discount Roofing & Construction aims for expansion by reaching out to more clients digitally.

    Yes, but the preferred method is replacing the old roof entirely. Removal of the old roof allows for substrate inspection and eliminates any wet, rough, or unstable existing materials.

  • What Type of Roofing System Should I Use?

    It will depend on your house/building and needs. We will inspect your house or building to determine the best methods, materials, warranties, and prices for your roofing and construction needs.

  • Is It Expensive to Get a Roof Repair?

    The price will depend on the repairs needed, but with Quality Discount Roofing & Construction, you won't get a cheaper rate! We also offer discounts and free estimates because we value quality over quantity.

  • How Can I Use an Insurance Claim for Repairs?

    Before we proceed with any repairs, we evaluate the cause of the damage first. We can help be your liaison to communicate with your insurance company to assess if the insurance covers this damage.

  • What Type of Gutters Do You Install?

    We install K-style 6" seamless aluminum gutters.

  • What Kind of Material Warranties Are Available?

    The manufacturers usually issue a material warranty for five (5) to forty (40) years. When you pick Quality Discount Roofing & Construction, we provide an additional 10-year workmanship warranty because we know our work is that good.

  • Do You Keep the Property Clean?

    Yes, cleanliness is crucial to us. We clean our work area and the surrounding yard area after every workday.

  • What Do You Do With the Old Roofing Debris?

    All debris is taken to the landfill and disposed of properly.

  • Do You Have a List of Service Pricing?

    Yes. We provide the price list to make it easier for the customers to see. You may also view this in the ProSell application.

  • Can I Measure a Gutter on My Own?

    Yes, you can. You'll only need a measuring tape for that.
